Maj Michael R. Schulz entered the Marine Corps via OCC 193G in the fall of 2006. Completing this training, earning a commission, and moving on to complete training at The Basic School in the summer of 2007, he then executed PCS orders to MASS-1 aboard MCAS Cherry Point. Deploying twice with MASS-1, Maj Schulz then executed PCA orders to MTACS-28 where he deployed a third time, all in support of the OEF campaign. During these tours, Maj Schulz earned qualifications in and held the billets of TAD, HD, SAD, CBC, and SAC.
Upon successful completion of his time at MTACS-28, Maj Schulz received and executed orders to OCS aboard MCB Quantico, where he would go on to hold billets as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, Academics Instructor, and as the Officer in Charge of the Instructor Cadre.
After his OCS tour was complete, Maj Schulz then executed PCS orders to serve as the Site Commander, Marine Corps Site Support Element, Chicopee, Massachusetts in support of the Marine Corps Reserve component units that reside there.
Once complete with his tour in Chicopee, Maj Schulz received and executed orders to MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS Cherry Point to serve as the II MEF Deputy IMO and II MAW IMO respectively, filling each role for a year in lieu of school trained IMO.
Maj Schulz is a graduate of Expeditionary Warfare School Blended Seminar Program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampden Sydney College in Christian Theology.
Maj Schulz’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars.
